¡¡Orale,
Mi Gente!!
The times are getting a little better, Mi Gente, as we start to come out
of this cold, wet weather that's been hitting the Land of 1000 Dances
lately.
Thanks to the rain, our lawns and gardens are getting watered again, and
those "water cops" sent by the DWP will be cut, as they no longer have
any missions to cite us and give reason to raise our rates for overusing
water during a drought.
Whew! FINALLY ! A cut we can live with. !
Speaking of cuts, despite tough times that would make any smart
wannabe/soon-2-be millionaire politician and their undeserving cronies
cut back on his or her perks of office for the time being, the State of
California and the City of Los Angeles will begin soon laying off a
couple thousand workers unless some reasonable compromise (i.e.
intelligent thinking & planning) can be reached.
We should all be contacting our elected
officials and bringing to their attention what WE feel is a waste of our
tax money, because for some reason, they seem to be losing touch with us
average, hard working people taking care of our families and
business….aka the VOTERS!
…I would rather have police, firefighters, clean maintained streets,
adequate trash service, and fully staffed schools with adequate supplies
than for some politician to have a tax-supported plush luxury office,
FREE luxury car w/FREE unlimited gas, and a six figure salary with perks
and too many high paid "assistants" and staff (usually family and
friends) that are expecting a 12% raise this June….hmmm..let's see where
THIS one goes….We go back to the voting booths this November…so
REMEMBER!
